Last weekend we had the pleasure of listening Dr. Timothy Sumerlin speak with us about Disciples InMotion and what taking care of Mental Health looks like amongst a body of believers. Being a member of our fellowship in Denver, he knows of the stigmas mental health carries throughout our nation. Below are some of the resources Dr. Sumerlin encourages us to read to further our conversations about personal health and wellness, and how we can be there for those we love.

Recovery Moving Forward
by Dr. Timothy Sumerlin
With Jesus at the center, truly God’s vision for us is freedom in Christ. This book helps connect you to that power to the extent that you are faithful to its heart. These lessons will help set the captives free, not just manage their captivity.
The Grief journey
by dr. timothy sumerlin
The Grief Journey focuses on helping participants through their grief recovery journey in a safe and confidential group setting. Rather than avoiding grief, as so many of us are prone to do, this book helps us take a hard look at the issue in a productive and healing way. I would heartily recommend this practical, faith-affirming program for anyone who has or is currently experiencing the pain of grief due to the loss of a parent, child, spouse or other loved one. – Jim McCraigh, author of The Power of Brokenness – The Language of Healing
