HOPEworldwide Portland Chapter MLK Day of Service

Time to put on your HOPE t-shirt and join us in serving at the Oregon Food Bank – Portland Food Recovery Center on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 from 12:30 – 3:30 at 7900 NE 33rd Drive, Portland, OR 97211.

We will be repacking bulk foods, from pears to apples to rice and beans, into family sized portions. This event is open to volunteers age 6yrs and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent and all volunteers under 18yrs must have a signed Youth Release Form.

Know before you go….

You must wear closed-toed shoes.
No food or beverages (or gum) allowed in volunteer work areas. Dress appropriately. Layers are recommended.
Lunch/break areas are not available.
Parking is free. The Trimet #70 bus stops in front of the building. We have space for 50 volunteers (this includes children).
