Y Ministry (6th-12th grade Families)
Let’s face it: Raising a Godly family in this world is hard! Increasing peer pressure, new technology, changing world values – it can be overwhelming if you try to navigate it on your own. But you are not alone! We’ve all heard the old adage: “It takes a village to raise a child.” We are that village. The Y Ministry is a community of believers devoted to leading our families to Christ by Christ exemplified in our lives. We strive to be close to and open with each other, to know and to be known by each other, – the good, the bad, and the ugly! – and to call each other higher as we cling to God.
Our group represents traditional families, blended families, and single parents – from all walks of life. The Y ministry is for families who are empty nesters, single parents, blended families, families that have adopted, families in different stages of parenting children who’s oldest are in middle school and beyond. Younger families without children or with children in the elementary school age and under are part of the K Ministry. Both the K and Y ministries are part of the Youth and Family ministry but meet different needs that arise with the various ages and changes.
At the Y Ministry we offer:
Parenting Devotionals (with babysitting services for your kids under 10)
Mentoring Groups for more hands-on help
Marriage classes for when your marriage may need extra help
Youth ministry devotionals for middle schoolers and high schoolers
Annual Purity Workshops for all incoming 6th graders
Youth Camps & Youth Rallies
And so much more!
But our Y Ministry is so much more than a youth group – it is a community. A community that teaches spiritual transformation – of parents into mentors, and teens into leaders. As we change, our whole family changes. As our kids change, so does their future. And ours.
